34.1 Two samples of gasoline (standard with a lead content of 0.025% and the analyzed one) weighing 1.0005 g are diluted 25 times with methyl isobutyl ketone, the alkyl compounds of lead are stabilized by reactions with iodine and a salt of a quaternary ammonium base and sprayed in the flame of an atomic absorption spectrometer. The optical densities at a wavelength of 283.3 nm were 0.250 and 0.520, respectively. Determine the concentration of lead in gasoline (in g/dm3).
