1. To determine the Cl- ion in the dye, an accurately weighed sample of the dye was placed in a 50 ml volumetric flask, dissolved in water, and the solution was brought to the mark with water. An aliquot of 10.0 ml of the solution was transferred to the cell and titrated potentiometrically with a 0.0197 M AgNO3 solution. The following results were obtained:
