Product Description
611. The table below cites the results of measurements of the turbidity of solutions of sodium dodecyl sulfate (mol. mass 272.37 g/mol) in the concentration range above CMC. Determine from them the molar mass and aggregation number of micelles (the number of surfactant molecules in one micelle), if it is known that the CMC of these solutions is 2.33 g/l, the turbidity at the CMC point is 5.85 * 10-3 m-1, the wavelength of light 436 nm, the refractive index of light in the solvent is 1.3328, the refractive index increment Δn/Δс = 0.120 cm3/g.
