The Dechala the Denied One DLC pack introduces the devoted Slaaneshi champion Dechala as a playable Legendary Lord for Immortal Empires and Custom Battles. Leading The Tormentors and starting play in the Hidden Landing settlement within the Cathayan Hinterlands, she brings a cruelly decadent and aggressively mobile campaign playstyle to Total War: WARHAMMER III.

Down through the centuries, Dechala has waged an unending war of cruelty and exploitation. She is one of Slaanesh’s most devoted servants, dedicated to pain and pleasure in equal measure.
More Daemonic serpent than human, her sinuous, snakelike form rises to a torso bearing six arms, and a visage which somehow combines peerless beauty and utter horror. In battle, she is a terrifying sight to behold. Wielding a sword in each hand, she becomes a choreographed dance of whirring blades, each killing stroke devoted to the Prince of Pleasure.
Embodying the essence of Slaanesh like no other, she is followed devoutly by the Tormentors, who delight in her every order and exert her will with all the zeal and cruelty of true devotees.

Unique Mechanic: Pillars of Cruelty
To reflect Dechala’s brutality and arrogance, her campaign introduces three conversion options for any settlement which her forces capture. The first is the Thrall Camp, which is dedicated to providing thralls and resources for your campaign. The second is the Tormentor’s Hold, which offers buildings focussed on basic recruitment, military infrastructure and defence. The third is the Pleasure Palace, which can only be constructed on a captured Major Settlement. The Pleasure Palace requires a significant number of Thralls to build, but offers advanced recruitment and economy buildings.
Thrall Camps provide a finite number of thralls which Dechala can also spend on acts of Decadence and Tormentor’s Tributes (see below). When a Thrall Camp depletes, its productivity falls, necessitating the capture of new settlements.

Unique Mechanic: Decadence
Dechala’s actions increase her Decadence level, enabling her to expand her Pleasure Palaces and access several unique benefits. Boons of Slaanesh grant temporary army buffs to her forces, and she is able to corrupt selected enemy units, debuffing them in the pre-battle phase. Decadence also enables Daemonic Attraction, which generates a limited pool of Daemonic units which accumulate over time, and may be instantly recruited. In Praise of Slaanesh allows Dechala to sacrifice Thralls and gain a powerful area-damage battle ability, which also summons an improved Spawn of Slaanesh to the field.

Unique Mechanic: Tormentor’s Tributes
Through Decadence, Dechala and her forces can choose a number of unique and powerful gifts. These are: Marks of Vindictiveness, which grant temporary battle enhancements to units in your armies; Opulent gifts, which are unique Slaanesh-specific ancillaries; and Exquisite Spoils, special rituals which grant a host of campaign benefits.
